Transmission Maintenance and Repair
Your transmission can have a long productive life if proper maintenance is provided. 30,000 miles is the recommended distance traveled before another service is due. During a transmission service the filter and fluid are changed, and the seals are inspected for wear and/or leakage. If boats or other heavy loads are pulled often, then use 20,000 miles as a guideline. An external cooler may be needed. The equipment also shows when you have an engine “skip”, and need a tune up, instead of transmission work, saving you time and money.
